David F. Daniell

Born September 30, 1954, David grew up in Huntsville, Alabama.  David and his wife Diane have two children and four grandchildren.          

David received his B.A. Degree, with honor, from the University of North Alabama in 1976, and his Juris Doctorate Degree in 1979 from Cumberland School of Law of Samford University.  While at Cumberland, David served on the Moot Court Board and as an instructor of Legal Bibliography. He was admitted to the Alabama Bar in 1979, admitted to practice before the U. S. Supreme Court in 1983, and admitted to practice in Tennessee in 1986. 

David practiced with the law firm of Lammons, Bell and Sneed, P. A., in Huntsville, Alabama until 1981 when he and Diane relocated to the gulf coast.  Since that time, David has maintained an active practice in the areas of Personal Injury Law, Insurance Law, Products Liability Law, Construction Law, and Condominium Law. His present practice is focused on products liability, real estate development, and construction litigation.  David has substantial litigation experience in the unique areas of coastal erosion, coastal outlet maintenance, coastal construction, building code compliance and coastal storm damage issues.  David maintains an active caseload in the area of automobile products liability litigation with an emphasis on industrial trucks, and serves as counsel for the USS Alabama Battleship Commission, operator of the USS Alabama Memorial Park, a memorial to veterans of all American wars and Alabama’s second largest tourist attraction.  David is also a member of the USS Alabama Battleship Foundation, dedicated to the preservation of the USS Alabama.

David is listed in Who’s Who in American Law and has been involved in the handling of matters before state and federal courts throughout the Southeast, including the United States Supreme Court.  He is a frequent contributing author for legal publications, as well as construction and condominium trade journals.  He is a frequent speaker on construction and condominium law topics.

David is a member of the Alabama State Bar Association, the Tennessee State Bar Association, the American Inns of Court, the Million Dollar Advocates Forum, and is Certified as a Civil Trial Advocate by the National Board of Trial Advocacy.  He serves as a faculty member of the Board of Examiners of the National Board of Trial Advocacy in the area of Civil Trial Law, and was selected for inclusion in the 2008 Edition of Alabama Super Lawyers Magazine.  David has received a peer review rating of “AV” by Martindale-Hubbell, the highest rating in legal ability and ethical standards.

David has been involved in real estate development in coastal resort areas to include projects in Alabama, Florida and the Mexican State of Quintana Roo.  He is a member of the Point Clear Rotary Club, the Fairhope Yacht Club and Lakewood Golf Club.
