Born in Century, Florida on August 21, 1960, Mark holds a B.S. from the University of Alabama (1982), and a J.D. from the University of Alabama (1985).  He grew up in Flomaton, Alabama and following law school moved to Mobile.  He was admitted to practice law in Alabama in 1985 and in Florida in 1986.

Mark is a member of the Alabama Defense Lawyers Association, the Defense Research Institute and the International Association of Arson Investigators. He is also a member of the American, Mobile County, and Baldwin County Bar Associations. Mark maintains an active case load in the area of casualty, property, and products liability litigation in both State and Federal Courts in Alabama and Florida.  His areas of practice specialty also include insurance coverage opinions and bad faith litigation.

Mark has tried over 70 jury trials to a verdict in 15 different courthouses in both State and Federal Courts in the States of Alabama, Florida and Mississippi.  Known as the Firm’s I-10 lawyer, Mark has tried at least one jury trial in every State and Federal Courthouse between Panama City, Florida and Pascagoula, Mississippi.

Mark and his wife Lauren attend Spring Hill Baptist Church in Mobile and have taught Sunday School in the Children’s Department there for the last 12 years.  Mark is an avid fan of the University of Alabama, and during football season his family spends most of their time between Mobile and Tuscaloosa.  Mark and Lauren’s oldest child, Brittany, just graduated from Alabama with a degree in nursing, and their son Judson is a sophomore there.  Their other son Blake is still at home and keeps Mark and Lauren busy with school and sports activities.
